Five people were taken into custody during a raid by the Noida Police earlier this week at a banquet hall in Sector 51, following a complaint made by the People For Animals (PFA) NGO. In its First Information Report, the PFA named Elvish and accused him of throwing rave parties wherein they attract foreign guests and set up deadly snakes.

He spent more than two hours being questioned by the Noida Police yesterday over the issue. According to the results of the veterinary department's most recent study, out of the nine snakes, five cobras had their venom glands removed, and the remaining four were determined not to be toxic. Nine poisonous snakes were found during the raid, in case you were unaware. Removing a snake's venom glands is against the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act, and those found guilty face a seven-year prison sentence.
