Temperatures Drop by 4°C Across Rajasthan; Cold Winds and Fog Intensify
Rajasthan News: After the end of the western disturbance, cold has increased again in Rajasthan. Temperatures dropped by about 4 degrees in many cities, including Jaipur, Sikar, Pilani, and Churu. The minimum temperature in the Shekhawati region remained between 5-6 degrees. Fog prevailed in Bikaner, Nagaur, and Jaipur.
As the western disturbance has now come to an end, the intensity of the cold has increased again in Rajasthan. As per the Meteorological Center, Jaipur, cold winds, fog, and partly cloudy skies are likely to continue in the state over the next three to four days. Yesterday, the temperature fell by 4 degrees in Jaipur, Sikar, Pilani, and Churu due to northerly winds. The minimum temperature in the Shekhawati region continued to stay in single digits, and the day temperature also fell to below 25 degrees Celsius. In the past 24 hours, light clouds have been observed in Jodhpur, Sriganganagar, Hanumangarh, Phalodi, Nagaur, Sikar, and Bikaner. In the meantime, the fog in Jaipur, Kota, and Bharatpur divisions reduced the intensity of sunlight, causing the temperatures to dip further. Jaipur recorded a maximum temperature of 24.3 degrees Celsius. Pali, Sikar, Nagaur, and Fatehpur were the coldest areas, with minimum temperatures between 5 and 6 degrees Celsius. Nagaur recorded the lowest temperature of 5.5 degrees Celsius. According to the Meteorological Department, the weather will remain normal for the next two to three days, although fog may appear in some parts of northern Rajasthan during the morning. No significant change in temperatures is expected.
The weather remains dry in the state, but the winter effect continues with a drop in night temperatures. On February 3, Barmer was the hottest district, with a maximum temperature of 29.9 degrees Celsius. After this, maximum temperature of 27.9 degrees was recorded in Jalore, 27.7 in Jodhpur, 26.6 in Chittorgarh and 26.2 degrees in Jaisalmer. Maximum temperature in capital Jaipur was 24.3 degrees, while 24.5 in Ajmer and 24.8 degrees Celsius was recorded in Bikaner. Talking about minimum temperature, Nagaur was the coldest, where mercury dropped to 5.5 degrees Celsius. Minimum temperature of 5.7 was recorded in Sikar, 5.8 degrees in Pilani and Pali. Minimum temperature of 7 was recorded in Alwar, 7.4 in Churu and 7.7 degrees Celsius in Jhunjhunu.
