OpenAI in new preparations, planning to launch browser
OpenAI: DoJ recently accused Google of maintaining a monopoly in the search market and suggested the company sell the Google Chrome browser. Google Chrome, which occupies 50% of the US browser market, is the main medium of distribution of Google Search.
Artificial intelligence pioneer OpenAI currently is planning to launch its in-house browser. According to a report by The Information, this browser will integrate with OpenAI's chatbot and give even better and more accurate answers to users. If it is launched, OpenAI will compete directly with Google Chrome, which has a market share of more than 70 percent.
Recently, Open AI launched a search engine, SearchGPT, for its premium users. This is quite a big effort to pit the company against tech giants like Google. The launch of the browser now will further strengthen OpenAI, since this promises an integrated experience of both chatbot and AI-based search for the users.
