Google's diversity-based hiring program ends, DEI program changed after US Supreme Court's decision
Google: Alphabet's Chief People Officer Fiona Cicconi said in an email sent to employees on Wednesday, "In 2020 we set diversity-based hiring goals and focused on increasing our offices outside California and New York to improve representation."
After Meta, Alphabet-owned Google also decided to start a review of its diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) programs and shut down the pilot scheme for recruiting more workers from underrepresented groups.
