Google may launch 'fake' email feature, users will get these big benefits

It seems that a new email tool that will resemble Apple's iCloud will soon be made available to Google users. Google is actually working on a feature that will assist consumers fight spam by allowing them to send fake emails.

According to a report by Android Authority, this new feature named "Shielded Email" has appeared in the Google Autofill Settings menu. However, currently tapping on this option takes users to an empty Google account page. The latest update code of Google Play Services 24.45.33 has revealed that if Google officially launches it, it will be named Shielded Email.

The Shielded Email would be similar to "Hide My Email" provided by Apple iCloud. In other words, users can come up with an automatically created email alias or temporary email ID every time. This is useful when you have to sign up for a website or email list.
