WhatsApp has now started using users' Google Drive for backup. Earlier also only Google Drive was used but it was unlimited for chat backup now, only Google Drive storage will be used i.e. only in the 15 GB storage provided with a Gmail account, you can store your Google photos, drives and WhatsApp chat backup work will have to be done. If your Gmail account has less storage and WhatsApp chat is also more, then you will have to buy money for storage. You will have to take Google's Google One plan.
