Rajasthan Weather Update: The severe phase of heat continues in Rajasthan. On Thursday, Ganganagar was the hottest city in the state, a maximum temperature here was recorded at 47.3 degrees. The Meteorological Department has issued a red alert of heat waves in many cities today. At the same time, a warning of storm and rain has been issued in Jaipur, Bharatpur and Ajmer divisions.

A period of storm and rain will commence again in the state. The Meteorological Department issued a notice stating that until May 26 light rain with thunderstorms and lightning will occur in Bharatpur, Ajmer, Jaipur, Bikaner and Jodhpur regions.

Maximum temperature in 8 state cities over the past 24 hours remained more than 45 degrees, with the highest temperature being 47.3 degrees in Ganganagar. According to the Meteorological Department, from 22 to 24 May the maximum temperature in Bikaner and Jodhpur division and parts of Shekhawati will remain 45 to 48 degrees. There will be harsh heat waves both during the day and at night during this period. Dusty winds will blow in border regions. On Friday today, 10 cities of the state have a heat wave warning out of which red category warning has been issued in Bikaner and Ganganagar.

Ganganagar was the hottest city in the last 24 hours. The maximum temperature recorded here was 47.3 degrees. However, on Wednesday, a higher temperature of 47.6 degrees was recorded here. The Meteorological Department has warned of more heat here. Apart from this, the maximum temperature in 9 cities was more than 45 degrees. Among these, the temperature in the capital Jaipur has dropped by two degrees as compared to Wednesday. The maximum temperature recorded here on Thursday was 42.8 degrees. The Meteorological Department has warned that the mercury will rise further in Jaipur in the next 2 days. On the other hand, tremendous heat waves will prevail in western Rajasthan for the next 4 to 5 days.

The maximum temperature of the state in the last 24 hours was as follows. The maximum temperature was recorded at 42.5 degrees in Ajmer, 41.5 in Bhilwara, 46.2 in Vanasthali, 40 in Alwar, 42.8 in Jaipur, 45.3 in Pilani, 43.3 in Kota, 45.8 in Barmer, 46 in Jaisalmer, 43.3 in Jodhpur, 46.1 in Churu, 46.6 in Bikaner and 47.3 degrees in Ganganagar.
