Heliovaara became emotional after winning the Wimbledon men's doubles title with Patton

The Wimbledon 2024 men's doubles title was won by the pair of Henry Patton of Britain and Harry Heliovaara of Finland. It was a thrilling title match, where the pair defeated the Australian pair. The pair of Heliovaara and Patton defeated the pair of Max Purcell and Jordan Thompson of Australia to win the title. Heliovaara and Patton had to work hard for two hours and 49 minutes to win 6-7(7), 7-6(8), 7-6 (11-9).

Helivaara retired from tennis 11 years ago due to injuries. In less than four years, he received a bachelor's and master's degree from Alton University and began working as a passenger guide at Helsinki Airport at 5 a.m. every day. He resurfaced in 2017 and has since claimed seven tour-level doubles titles.

Helviovaara and Patton first collaborated in April and quickly formed a partnership. After winning the ATP title, he had won 28 of 32 matches heading into the final on Saturday. He becomes only the third British man to win the Open Trophy, after Jonathan Marray in 2012 and Neal Skupski in 2023.
