Dr Ruma reached New York in the first leg of her 20-day journey

New York/New Delhi - Social activist and international fashion designer, Dr. Ruma Devi from Barmer district of western Rajasthan, honored with Nari Shakti Puraskar by the President of India, participates in various programs, conferences, fashion shows and felicitation ceremonies organized in the United States of America (USA). She reached the United States for the third time on Friday, 18 November via Paris on her 20-day visit to promote the culture and crafts of India.

During this visit, Dr. Ruma Devi will talk to American organizations on the issues of Indian art and culture, as well as create awareness among American-Indians especially by being present as a motivator to reconnect the second and third generation of American-Indians with the cultural tradition. Dr. Ruma Devi participated in different programs in New York and New Jersey, USA from November 19 to November 24 and participated in the four-day International Rajasthani Convention to be organized by Maheshwari Mahasabha North America (MMNA) at Marriott Marquis in Houston city. Dr. Ruma Devi will be present as a judge in the talent round to be held at Karko Theater in Renton on 3rd December. At the same time, in the last leg of the journey, participating in the 10th Annual Global Women Festival 2022 to be held at Hyatt Regency Lake Wa, Renton, Seattle City on December 4 and 5, cultural performances, business shows, Global Women Leadership Awards and Women's Honor Program.
