Redmi K90 Pro Max with Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, 7,560mAh Battery Launched in China
Redmi has launched its new K90 series in China, which includes both the K90 and K90 Pro Max models. Both phones run on Android 16-based HyperOS 3 and come with a powerful Snapdragon chipset. The Pro Max model features premium features like a 7,560mAh battery, a 120Hz OLED display, and Bose-tuned stereo speakers.
On Thursday, the Redmi K90 Pro Max was launched in China alongside the Redmi K90. The flagship Redmi K90 Pro Max features a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, the company's D2 display chip, and a 7,560mAh battery. It comes with a 6.9-inch OLED screen that is up to 1 nit bright. The base Redmi K90 model comes with a 6.59-inch screen, which provides a 94 percent screen-to-body ratio. Both phones come with Bose-tuned speakers, but the K90 Pro Max comes with a 2.1-channel stereo speaker setup.
The Redmi K90 Pro Max begins at CNY 3,999 (around Rs. 49,000) for the 12GB RAM + 256GB storage variant. The 12GB RAM + 512GB and 16GB RAM + 512GB options come at CNY 4,499 (around Rs. 55,000) and CNY 4,799 (around Rs. 59,000), respectively. The high-end model with 16GB RAM and 1TB storage is available for CNY 5,299 (around Rs. 65,000).
The standard Redmi K90 starts at CNY 2,599 (approximately Rs. 32,000) for the 12GB RAM + 256GB storage variant. The 16GB RAM + 256GB, 12GB RAM + 512GB, and 16GB RAM + 512GB variants are priced at CNY 2,899 (approximately Rs. 35,000), CNY 3,199 (approximately Rs. 39,000), and CNY 3,499 (approximately Rs. 43,000), respectively. The most expensive model with 16GB RAM and 1TB storage is priced at CNY 3,999 (approximately Rs. 49,000).
Both phones will be available on the company's website in China. The Redmi K90 will be available in White, Black, Aqua Blue, and Light Purple colors, while the Redmi K90 Pro Max will come in Denim, Golden White, and Black color options.

Both the Redmi K90 Pro Max and Redmi K90 run on Android 16-based HyperOS 3. The Pro Max features a 6.9-inch (1,200×2,608 pixels) OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 480Hz touch sampling rate, 3,500 nits of peak brightness, and 1 nit of minimum brightness. The screen supports the DCI-P3 color gamut, 68.7 billion colors, HDR10+, and Dolby Vision. It also features Wet Touch 2.0 and TSMC's 12nm AI-powered D2 display chip.
It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, built on a 3nm process. The phone comes with up to 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.1 storage. Its highlight is a Bose-tuned 2.1 triple-speaker stereo system, which includes two stereo speakers and a woofer.
In terms of camera, the Redmi K90 Pro Max features a triple rear camera setup. The setup includes a 50MP primary camera (1/1.31-inch sensor, OIS), a 50MP periscope telephoto lens (f/3.0, 5x optical zoom), and a 50MP ultrawide camera (f/2.4). It can shoot 8K/30fps video. There's a 32MP selfie camera on the front.
The phone is powered by a 7,560mAh battery that supports 100W wired and 50W wireless charging. It also has the option of 22.5W reverse charging. For security, it has an in-display fingerprint sensor. Connectivity features include 5G, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, Galileo, GLONASS, QZSS, NavIC, and A-GNSS. It weighs approximately 218 grams.
The Redmi K90 also runs on HyperOS 3. It features a 6.59-inch OLED display with a resolution of 1,156×2,510 pixels. Other display features are similar to the Pro Max. The standard model is powered by last year's Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, paired with an Adreno GPU, up to 16GB of RAM, and 1TB of storage, with a peak clock speed of 4.32GHz.
For photos and videos, it has a triple camera setup—a 50MP primary sensor (1/1.55-inch, OIS, f/1.88), a 50MP telephoto camera (f/2.2), and an 8MP ultrawide camera (f/2.2). There's a 20MP selfie camera on the front. Like the Pro Max, it also supports 8K/30fps video recording.
The Redmi K90 packs a 7,100mAh battery that supports 100W wired charging and 22.5W wired reverse charging. Connectivity features are similar to the Pro Max. It weighs approximately 206 grams.
