Heavy rain alert in 12 Rajasthan districts today and for the next four days

Many districts of Rajasthan experienced heavy rainfall on Tuesday. Flood-like conditions emerged in Alwar and Dholpur due to intense rain, with Dholpur receiving 158 mm of rainfall. In Bharatpur, CM Bhajanlal Sharma's Jan Sunwai Kendra was flooded after the heavy rain. Simultaneously, the Meteorological Department issued an alert for heavy to very heavy rainfall in 12 districts of the state today.

According to the department, a new weather system is becoming active over Rajasthan from today, leading to increased rain activity across most parts of the state until July 7. There is a strong chance of heavy and very heavy rain in some areas of the southern and eastern regions. Rainfall activity may also increase in the Jodhpur and Bikaner divisions of western Rajasthan during this period.

The Meteorological Department cautioned about very heavy rainfall in Banswara, Baran, Bhilwara, Bundi, Chittorgarh, Dungarpur, Jhalawar, Kota, Pratapgarh, Rajsamand, and Udaipur, and heavy rainfall in Ajmer today. Weather experts indicate that a cyclonic circulation has formed over eastern Rajasthan. Additionally, the monsoon trough is passing through Sri Ganganagar. The low-pressure system in the Bay of Bengal has moved closer to Rajasthan. Due to these systems, the next 3-4 days are likely to bring substantial rainfall to Rajasthan.
