Prime Minister Narendra Modi has reached Greece on a one-day visit after the BRICS summit. Significantly, after almost 40 years, an Indian Prime Minister is visiting Greece. Indira Gandhi had gone to Greece in 1983 before Prime Minister Modi.
On PM Modi's one-day visit to Greece, External Affairs Ministry Spokesperson Arindam Bagchi said, "The PM will lay a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. After that, he will meet the President of Greece. Here the Greek will hold talks with the PM and businessmen from both sides." Thereafter, before departure, the Prime Minister will interact with the Indian community, who are eager to welcome him after the success of the Chandrayaan-3 mission."
