Orange, Mosambi or Kinnow: Know the Difference and Health Benefits
Orange vs. Mosambi vs. Kinnow: Orange, Mosambi, and Kinnow all look similar, but they are completely different. Learn the difference between these three fruits and when to eat each one.

Now, with the onset of winter, one can spot oranges, mosambs, or kinno oranges in ample quantities in the markets. These fruits appear almost similar at a glance, but their taste, nutritional values, and health benefits are completely distinct from one another. It is often difficult for people to distinguish between the three fruits mentioned earlier, as they remain confused about which one is more beneficial for their health. This article highlights the differences between these fruits and their consuming seasons.
These fruits can be distinguished by their appearance. Oranges are larger with thicker skin that is dark orange in color. Mosambis are small in size with a lighter yellowish-green skin that is very thin. Kinnows resemble oranges but are a little smaller with more juice.
The principal difference between these fruits is also related to their taste. Oranges have a balanced taste of both sweetness and sourness, which immediately refreshes the mouth. Sweet lime is entirely sweet without any presence of sourness, which is more preferable to children. Kinnow is more sour in taste, which is preferred by those people who like to eat sour fruits.
Health-wise, these three fruits are good sources of vitamin C. One orange alone can meet about 70% of the total vitamin C requirement for the day. While sweet lime is good for dealing with issues like gas or acidity in the body, kinnow is rich in fiber, which is very beneficial for digestive purposes or even for reducing weight.
