Indian all-rounder Nitish Kumar Reddy's troubles, who was injured and ruled out of the England tour, have intensified. This player of the Sunrisers Hyderabad franchise of the IPL has been served a petition by his former agent demanding over Rs 5 crore in dues.

According to an India Today report, Reddy and his former player agency, Square the One, broke down during the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25. After this, Nitish signed a contract with the manager of another Indian cricketer who was part of that tour.

Player management agency Square The One Pvt Ltd has moved a petition under Section 11(6) of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act for breach of the management agreement and non-payment of charges. The case will be heard in the Delhi High Court on July 28.

The petition seeks the appointment of an independent arbitrator to adjudicate on claims related to alleged unlawful breach of contract and non-payment of contractual dues by the player. According to the report, Square The One has been representing Nitish Reddy since 2021. The agency helped Reddy with several brand endorsements and business partnerships during its four-year association with him.
