The grand event was hosted on October 16 at Famous Studios in Mumbai, amidst much fanfare and excitement. Rekha Pandey, the Union Territory, was adjudged the 1st Runner-up, while Aayushi Dholakia of Gujarat was declared the 2nd Runner-up.
Celebrating 60 years of creating the most successful and inspiring beauty pageants in India, Femina Miss India 2024, co-powered by Tops and Rajnigandha Pearls, stayed committed to its endeavour of turning ordinary dreams into extraordinary destinies. Each year, the pageant brings back opportunities, fashions new platforms and creates global superstars that continue to represent India on an international scale, not just in glamour or entertainment but also social change.
The showcase began in style as the Top 30 state finalists walked the ramp in a fashion show featuring a beautifully curated collection by Nikita Mhaisalkar, as the audience watched on. The collection, inspired by intricate embroideries and high-glamour designs, was made as per the state finalist's body and personality, and it became the perfect start to the grand evening.
Later followed a stunning performance by The Band of Boys who surely rocked the stage with their stellar acts. Next on the line, the audience was in splits when comedian Sahil Shah took the stage to not only spread laughter but also lighten the mood and prepare everyone for the glitzy evening.
An evening to mark 60 incredible and inspiring years in the world of pageantry, Florista, the official floral partner, also took the centre stage presenting hand bouquets to the winners. Narayan Jewellers, meanwhile, introduced three new crowns to celebrate their association with the grandest beauty pageant. Portia & Scarlett also presented their latest chic and unique designs that not only boast of luxurious fabrics but also the wonderful interpretation of event wear.
The state finalists put their best foot forward in the Q&A round as they walked the ramp in the Portia & Scarlett Collection.
The evening featured a special award 'Times Miss Beauty with a Purpose' won by Tadu Lunia from Arunachal Pradesh and 'Times Miss Multimedia' awarded to Angelia Marrwein from Meghalaya, the winners get a direct entry into top 15.
The event took a test when the top 15 contestants came to the hot seat to answer a few candid and smart question from our jury members Nikita Mhaisalkar, Sangeeta Bijlani, Anees Bazmee, Neha Dhupia, Bosco Martis and Madhur Bhandarkar. The Coronation starts with winning title on her head Nikita Porwal the outgoing queens passing on the crowns.
Some of the highlights of the evening, the jury member Neha Dhupia crowned the 5 zonal winners, Angelia Marrwein (Northeast), Sifti Sarang (North), Malina (South), Riya Nandini (East), Arshia Rashid (West). Tadu Lunia from Arunachal Pradesh, the biggest donor among the state finalists had collectively raised 45,30,646 for tribal women through the Beauty Wtih a Purpose initiative.
Sachiin Kumbhaar, Anusha Dandekar and the new found world known host Nehal Chudasama steamed up the event making a perfect evening to remember. Femina Miss India 2024 Grand Finale will be televised on Saturday, November 10 at 8 PM on Doordarshan and for the people who miss to tune can flip it on JioCinema.
