Neither Shubman Gill nor Yashasvi Jaiswal, Mohammad Kaif selected playing 11 for Asia Cup

The Indian team for Asia Cup 2025 is expected to be announced on 19 August. The Asia Cup this time is going to be played in T20 format. The tournament will begin on 9 September and the Indian team will begin their campaign from 10 September. Team India's opening match would be against UAE, and then a high-octane match between India and Pakistan on 14 September. However, former Indian cricketer Mohammad Kaif has selected the playing XI of the Indian team for Asia Cup 2025 on his YouTube channel.

Kaif has given place to Sanju Samson, while only two Indian fast bowlers have been included in the team. Apart from this, 4 all-rounders have been given a place in the team. The most shocking thing is that he has not given place to Shubman Gill nor Yashasvi Jaiswal in the team. Kaif has kept Sanju Samson and Abhishek Sharma as openers, while Tilak Verma has been kept to bat at number three.

Apart from this, the team includes Suryakumar Yadav, Axar Patel, Hardik Pandya, Shivam Dubey, and Washington Sundar. The playing 11 includes four all-rounders along with a key spinner, Kuldeep Yadav. Arshdeep Singh and Jasprit Bumrah are the two fast bowlers in the playing 11.
