Rajasthan Weather Update: Monsoon activities may intensify again around Rakshabandhan in Rajasthan. According to meteorologists, the monsoon turf line has shifted from its normal position towards north. Due to this the monsoon is weakening.

A new weather system is expected to develop in Rajasthan over the next 5 to 6 days, which will intensify monsoon activities.

Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma visited the flood-affected areas on Monday along with Disaster Relief Minister Dr. Kirori Lal Meena. He directed to prepare the Girdawari report soon to know the damage caused to the crops due to heavy rains. The Chief Minister said that the state government is also working towards a long-term solution to the problems caused every year by rain and floods. Special attention is being paid to strengthening the infrastructure for drainage, cleaning of drains, and flood prevention.
He said that effective steps will be taken towards a permanent solution in those villages situated on the banks of the Chambal river where flood situation arises due to excessive rains. The state government is constantly monitoring the situation created due to abnormal and excessive rains this year. Feedback is being taken by holding regular meetings with the district collector, local public representatives and administrative officials.
