Monsoon Rains Lash Rajasthan; Heavy Rain Alert Issued in 37 Districts

Once again, Monsoon has become active in Rajasthan. Heavy rain was recorded in many districts of the state on Saturday. The rain that started late at night in the capital, Jaipur, continued till Sunday morning. In fact, roads became ponds. The Meteorological Department has issued a heavy rain alert in the state for the next 3 days. Today, on Sunday, an alert has been issued in 37 districts of the state. In these, a warning of very heavy rain has been issued in Sirohi, Jalore, and Pali. At the same time, as an immediate warning, an orange alert of very heavy rain has also been issued in Alwar and Bharatpur for the next 3 hours.

During the last 24 hours, the highest rainfall of 111MM was recorded in Chamu near Jodhpur. In Jodhpur itself, 88MM rain was recorded in Tinwari, 78MM in Shekhla, 75MM in Balesar, 45MM in Osian, 53MM in Lohawat, 50MM in Dechu, 95MM in Samdari of Barmer, 50MM in Siwana, 51MM in Kachhola of Bhilwara, 70MM in Tibbi of Hanumangarh, 52MM in Hanumangarh city, 40MM in Talwara lake. Apart from this, 58MM rain was recorded in Bhinmal of Jalore, 48MM in Manoharthana of Jhalawar, 30MM in Aklera, 102MM in Chhoti Sadari of Pratapgarh, 40MM in Pratapgarh city, 63MM in Baran, 75MM in Mount Abu of Sirohi, 65MM in Sirohi city, 64MM in Hindumalkot of Sriganganagar, 88MM in Sriganganagar city, and 45MM in Vallabhnagar of Udaipur. Apart from these districts, it rained in many other districts, including Pali, Churu, Jaisalmer, Kota, Dungarpur, Banswara, and Bikaner. There is a possibility of rain in most of the districts in the next few days. According to weather experts, the monsoon trough is currently going to the Bay of Bengal via Bikaner, Kota, Seoni (MP), Durg (Chhattisgarh), Bhawanipatna (Odisha), and Gopalpur (Odisha). There is a possibility of light to moderate and sometimes heavy rains in most districts of the state for the next few days.

Jaipur Meteorological Center has issued an alert of heavy rains in Banswara, Baran, Bharatpur, Chittorgarh, Dausa, Deeg, Dholpur, Dungarpur, Jhalawar, Karauli, Kota, Rajsamand, Salumbhar, Sawai Madhopur, Udaipur, Didwana-Kuchaman, Jodhpur, Nagaur, and Phalodi today.
