Maruti is preparing to bring electric vehicles in the compact SUV segment. Maruti's first electric car is going to be the eVX. Whose testing has started. Which has been spotted during testing on Indian roads. Its concept car was introduced at the 2024 Auto Expo last year. Test drives of the Maruti eVX have revealed a sporty front fascia that is shaped like an 'X'. It gets double LED DRLs set next to its projector headlamps. The lighting element at the car's rear has been designed similarly. The paneling of the entire body looks quite plush.

Talking about the side profile, polygonal wheel arches, and integrated turn signals have been given to the ORVMs. At the rear, the handles were seen mounted on the C-pillar. Black-out pillars for sporty appearance are what is expected with eVX. Other features include a roof-mounted spoiler, washer and wiper, and bumper.

Features of Maruti eVX will include front and rear parking sensors, a 360° surround view monitor, a blind-spot monitoring system along with tire monitoring system. It will also come up with radar and camera-based ADAS features. It will also come with a wireless charger, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, ventilated seats, a premium sound system, automatic climate control, and rear AC vents. Test mules get large touchscreen infotainment systems, flat-bottom steering wheels, and center consoles spread throughout. Soft-touch materials have been used throughout the cabin.

Maruti eVX will be equipped with a 60-kWh battery pack, and its range is claimed to be around the 500 km mark. This eVX will come with single-motor FWD and dual-motor AWD options. The Maruti eVX is expected to arrive in the markets by 2025.
