Kuldeep Yadav will have fitness test in Ranji today along with Virat-Rahul before Champions Trophy 2025
Ranji Trophy 2024-25: Some of the players included in the Indian team announced for Champions Trophy 2025 are making a comeback in the Ranji Trophy after a long time today. These include Virat Kohli and KL Rahul along with Kuldeep Yadav.

Whereas Virat Kohli will feature for Delhi today, 30 January, KL Rahul will feature for Karnataka in the Ranji match. Besides them, Chinaman bowler Kuldeep Yadav too confirmed to play in Uttar Pradesh's last Ranji Trophy group-stage encounter with Madhya Pradesh. Kuldeep Yadav will play in competitive cricket for the first time in several months, having kept himself out of competition for a long period following an injury. He played in India's recently concluded India vs New Zealand Test series. In this encounter, he wants to gauge his fitness level, having an eye for India's India vs England ODI series and 2025's ICC Champions Trophy.
In fact, TOI has quoted Kuldeep Yadav as saying that he is going to return to the field from the Ranji Trophy after spending three months in NCA. He said that he is very excited to join his teammates for the final group stage match of the Ranji Trophy. The return of Chinaman spinner Kuldeep Yadav will strengthen the Uttar Pradesh team.
Kuldeep Yadav said, "I am making a comeback after three months of injury during the India-New Zealand Test series. During this time I was in rehab at the National Cricket Academy." Kuldeep revealed that he is looking forward to playing in the ODI series against England and the Champions Trophy. He has worked hard in his recovery and he is now fully fit.
Kuldeep further said, "I have bowled a lot in the nets. I want to maintain good fitness, as I am looking forward to playing ODIs going forward." Kuldeep Yadav played his last Ranji Trophy match in January 2024. When he was part of the UP team against Kerala. He has played 18 matches in the Ranji Trophy in which he has taken 65 wickets.
