Rohit said that senior players did not participate in many ODI series last year due to T20 World Cup and this year also they are doing the same with ODI World Cup.
Rohit said, "Last year also we did the same, T20 was the World Cup, so we did not play much ODI cricket. Now also we are doing the same, ODI is the World Cup, so we are not playing T20." ''
Rohit said, "It's a World Cup year; we want to keep everyone fresh; already there were so many injuries in our team that now I am scared of injuries."
The Indian Test and ODI captain pointed out that apart from him and Kohli, Ravindra Jadeja is also not playing in the ongoing T20I against the West Indies, but no one is questioning it.
"You can't prepare for the World Cup by playing everything. We took that decision two years ago," Rohit said in response to a question about him and Kohli missing India's recent T20 matches.
