iQOO 15 to Debut in India With Android 16-Based OriginOS 6, 5 Years OS + 7 Years Security Updates

Pre-bookings for the iQOO 15 are opening today in India. The phone will launch in India on November 26th. A recent report suggested that the price of the handset could stand between ₹65,000 and ₹70,000, including the launch offers. The phone comes with several major upgrades, including Samsung's new 2K M14 LED OLED display, Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, Android 16-based OriginOS 6, a 7,000mAh battery, and a 50-megapixel triple rear camera unit.

The company has commenced the pre-booking for the iQOO 15 via Amazon and the iQOO India e-store starting at 12 noon today. The customers who pre-book will receive a Priority Pass that comprises iQOO TWS 1e earbuds and a further 12 months of extended warranty. The smartphone will go live in India on November 26.

Gadgets 360 recently reported that the iQOO 15 will be priced between ₹65,000 and ₹70,000, including launch offers. It has been confirmed that it will come in Alpha (Black) and Legend (White) color options.

The iQOO 15 has also been confirmed to feature Samsung's 2K M14 LED OLED display with a peak brightness of 2,600 nits, Dolby Vision support, and a triple ambient light sensor. The phone will also feature a dual-axis vibration motor for a better gaming and haptic experience.

We already know that the upcoming iQOO 15 will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, along with LPDDR5x Ultra RAM, UFS 4.1 onboard storage, iQOO's Supercomputing Chip Q3, and an 8,000 sq mm single-layer vapor chamber for improved thermal management. This will be the first iQOO phone to launch in India with Android 16-based OriginOS 6. The company says the device will receive 5 years of OS updates and 7 years of security patches.

The iQOO 15's camera setup will consist of a 50-megapixel Sony IMX921 main sensor, a 50-megapixel IMX882 periscope telephoto lens (3x zoom support), and a 50-megapixel ultrawide camera. A 32-megapixel camera will be available on the front.

The company also said that a new Game Live Streaming Assistant tool will be added, allowing users to stream gameplay via a connected laptop or desktop without any additional hardware. The iQOO 15 will be powered by a 7,000mAh battery with 100W wired and 40W wireless charging support.
