Hawaii Fire: Terrible fire in the forests of Hawaii Island! People jumped into the sea to save their lives, 36 died so far

The death toll from wildfires in the Hawaiian Islands has risen to 36. The city of Lahaina has been completely reduced to ashes by a wildfire on the island of Hawaii. The Maui County Government said in a statement, "The fire service continues to extinguish the fire, but a total of 36 deaths have been detected from this fire."

Hawaii's Emergency Management Agency said in a statement that the fire, which began early Tuesday, has affected homes, businesses, and services as well as more than 35,000 people living on the island of Maui. The state agency said the fire has burned more than 2,000 acres (800 ha). The forest fire is currently out of control.

Strong winds and dry conditions have pushed much of Hawaii into the red zone, but there is some relief now. Apart from this, strong fires are still burning in the Big Island and Maui. Frightened people jumped into the sea to escape the fierce flames. Officials said Wednesday that more than 270 buildings were damaged or destroyed in the severely hit town of Lahaina.
