Heavy rains wreak havoc in Andhra Pradesh, 4 people died due to landslide
Andhra Pradesh Rain: It has been raining heavily in some areas of Andhra Pradesh for several days. Due to the rain, a landslide occurred in the Mughalrajpuram area in which 4 people died. It is being told that due to the landslide in the Mogalrajpuram area of Vijayawada, big stones fell on the houses of the deceased. Meanwhile, CM Naidu announced compensation to the families of the deceased.
Heavy rain has been falling in some parts of Andhra Pradesh for several days. A landslip caused by rain occurred in the Mughalrajpuram area, killing four people. A landslip in the Mogalrajpuram area of Vijayawada reportedly caused large stones to fall on the deceased's homes.
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has announced that the families of landslip victims will each receive Rs 5 lakh.
An official statement said, 'A landslide occurred at Mogalrajapuram in Vijayawada, killing four people. CM Naidu expressed his condolences to the families of the deceased and announced an ex-gratia of ₹5 lakh each to the families of the deceased.
The CM directed officials to shift people away from landslide-prone areas as heavy rains are forecast in the next two to three days.
In Pedakakani village in Guntur district, a teacher and two students returning home in a hatchback died after their car was swept away while crossing a swollen stream.
