Heavy rain in Rajasthan - Road connectivity cut off in many districts, school holiday in 11 districts

Life has been disrupted in other parts of the state due to heavy rains. Flood-like conditions have arisen in Kota, Sawai Madhopur, and Bundi districts. Many villages have become like islands, and connectivity has been cut off. NDRF, SDR,F and Army teams are engaged in relief and rescue operations in flood-affected areas. The Meteorological Department has issued a heavy rain alert in 11 districts on Saturday. Among these, a heavy rain alert has been issued in 2 districts (Bhilwara and Chittorgarh). Schools are closed in these districts today due to rain. Schools were closed on Saturday in Chittorgarh, Baran, Tonk, Sawai Madhopur, Jhalawar, Kota, Bundi, Dungarpur, and Bhilwara.

It has been raining heavily in Baran since Friday morning. Due to the rain, there is significant waterlogging there. The Banganga River is in spate. Due to this, traffic has come to a halt due to one and a half to two feet of water flowing at Bapulia near Khedli village on Mangrol road.

Flood-like conditions continue in Kota, Sawai Madhopur, and Bundi. Several villages have been converted into islands. Army, along with NDRF, SDRF, was sought in the affected regions. Water of 13 inches poured down in 9 hours in Nainwan of Bundi. Heavy rain pounded Jaipur on Saturday morning. A heavy rain alert has been issued by the Meteorological Department in 11 districts on Saturday. Of these, there is a warning of heavy rain in 2 districts (Bhilwara-Chittorgarh). The schools in these districts are shut today. Schools were shut in Chittorgarh, Baran, Tonk, Sawai Madhopur, Jhalawar, Kota, Bundi, Dungarpur, and Bhilwara on Saturday due to rain.
