Hanuman Beniwal Moves Rajasthan High Court Against Notice to Vacate MLA Residence

Rashtriya Loktantrik Party MP Hanuman Beniwal has challenged the notice to vacate the MLA residence in Jaipur and the action being taken on its basis in the Rajasthan High Court. The court may hear this matter next week.

The petition filed by Beniwal states that the estate officer issued the notice in a hurry and also started the action, ignoring the principles of natural justice. He says that he was not given an adequate opportunity to be heard and present facts in his favor.

It has been mentioned in the petition that on July 1, the estate officer had issued a notice to Hanuman Beniwal to vacate the MLA residence. The first hearing of this notice was held on July 11. Even after this, the officer showed unnecessary haste in the matter and rejected the applications filed by him with derogatory remarks without giving adequate consideration.

Beniwal alleged that this conduct of the estate officer shows his bias in favor of the state government. He says that he is being forced to vacate the house without following the fair process. He has urged the court to cancel the notice issued by the estate officer and the action being taken on its basis.

Experts believe that the hearing of the High Court in this case will be important, because this case is not only related to a public representative but also raises questions on the transparency of the process of allocation and retrieval of government properties.
