Gautam Gambhir told the selection committee of 2019 World Cup that he was the worst, this star player's career was ruined

Former Indian cricketer Gautam Gambhir has described the MSK Prasad-led Indian selection committee for the 2019 World Cup as the worst selection committee in the history of Indian cricket. Gautam Gambhir has criticized the 2019 selection committee for excluding Ambati Rayudu from the World Cup team. He said that this was a step that surprised many cricket fans. Rayudu, who has consistently performed well at No. 4 for the Indian team, was unfairly dropped from the World Cup squad.

During the commentary in the India vs New Zealand match, Gambhir said that I believed that India had the worst selection committee in the history of cricket. The reason for this was their decision to remove a batsman like Ambati Rayudu and not include him in the World Cup. Instead, he chose another batsman even though his primary concern was about No. 4. So, when you have such thinking and mentality within the selection committee, we can discuss the management's mistake.

Gautam Gambhir claimed that no one knows the reason behind this. The decision to drop Rayudu from the World Cup squad shows a lack of transparency. This was a situation that further increased the uproar and discussion within the cricket world. And no one really knew what caused it or communicated it.

He said that therefore the Chairman has the biggest responsibility in this matter. I don't remember who was the president at that time, but the responsibility was on him and India's World Cup campaign in 2019 ended with a semi-final loss to New Zealand.
