Digital fraudsters will no longer be spared, e-Zero FIR will be registered in cybercrime cases
Now, the victims of cyber fraud will not have to go to the police to register an FIR. Home Minister Amit Shah has launched the facility of e-Zero FIR, where a complaint made on the NCRP portal and helpline number 1930 will automatically turn into an e-Zero FIR. At present, this facility has been started as a pilot project in Delhi.

Cyber fraud victims do not need to visit a police station to lodge an FIR anymore. An FIR automatically converts into an e-Zero FIR when a complainant registers a complaint on the National Cyber Crime Portal (NCRP) and helpline number 1930 of the Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Center (I4C).
Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah initiated the facility of e-Zero FIR to target cyber criminals. In its current scenario, it's launched as a pilot project in Delhi and will be launched in cyber fraud cases involving over Rs 10 lakh.
Amit Shah stated that grievances lodged upon the portal and helpline number for NCRP will automatically be registered as a Zero FIR in the e-crime police station in Delhi.
According to him, this will help in the easy recovery of the money lost by the complainants and will also facilitate action against cyber criminals.
