CSK faces shock after shock amid IPL 2024, 3 foreign players returned home and one got injured

Chennai Super Kings had to suffer a crushing defeat by 7 wickets at the hands of Punjab Kings on Wednesday night at their home ground Chepauk. However, CSK remains at number four in the points table of IPL 2024. From now on, Rituraj-led Chennai needs to win every match, but their bowling department can become a cause of concern for them. While bowling the first over against Punjab, Deepak Chahar got injured and went out of the field and did not return. CSK's coach has also expressed concern about his injury. Not only this, CSK's bowling department which is dependent on foreign players is going to increase its tension even more.

The injury to star bowler Deepak Chahar has put CSK in jeopardy. Simultaneously, following the CSK team's loss to the Punjab Kings, three of their international bowlers have departed India and returned home. The CSK team, which includes Mahesh Teekshana, Mathisha Pathirana, Mustafizur Rahman, and Moeen Ali from Sri Lanka, is entirely dependent on foreign bowlers, as demonstrated by the match against Punjab. Pathirana, Teekshana, and Mustafizur are back in their native country. Moeen Ali is also scheduled to return home before the playoffs commencing.

CSK coach Fleming said that Mathisha Pathirana and Mahesh Teekshana are returning to Colombo for US visa purposes. However, he is hopeful that both of them will return before the Dharamshala match. Fleming has expressed concern about his star bowler Deepak Chahar in the match against Punjab Kings. He said that he was worried about Chahar's injury.
