Cold Wave Alert Issued for 12 Districts in Rajasthan, Temperatures Drop Sharply
Rajasthan Weather: The cold wave has intensified in Rajasthan. A cold warning was issued for 12 districts on Friday. According to the Meteorological Department, a western disturbance, active from January 31st, is expected to bring cloudy skies to eastern Rajasthan, with light rain and hailstorms expected in some areas. Temperatures dropped by 2 to 5 degrees in many cities on Thursday. Pali was the coldest district, recording a minimum temperature of 4.1 degrees.



A cold wave warning has been issued for 12 districts in Rajasthan on Friday. According to the Meteorological Department, a strong western disturbance is to be activated on the 31st of January, and it will affect the eastern part of Rajasthan, which includes the districts of Jaipur, Bharatpur, Bikaner, and Kota divisions. During this period, it is expected to be cloudy, and there is a possibility of light rain and hailstorms too. The effects of the western disturbance will be experienced until the 2nd of February. On Thursday, the temperature dropped by 2 to 5 degrees Celsius in various cities, such as Sikar, Jaipur, Fatehpur, and Bhilwara, as light clouds and fog reduced the sunlight, thereby maintaining the cold wave effect during the day.
Dense fog has enveloped a number of districts in the Shekhawati region, including Sikar, on Thursday morning. Over the past 24 hours, the weather remained clear until morning, but as the day progressed, fog and clouds descended on several districts in western, northern, and eastern Rajasthan. On Thursday, the maximum temperature was recorded below 23 degrees Celsius in Sriganganagar, Churu, Bikaner, Baran, Dungarpur, Nagaur, Fatehpur, Karauli, Sirohi, Udaipur, Kota, Sikar, Pilani, Jaipur, Alwar, Tonk, Bhilwara, and Ajmer. The highest maximum temperature of 25.6 degrees Celsius was recorded in Barmer.
The freezing cold continued in the morning and evening across the state. Due to mild cold winds, the minimum temperature remained below 10 degrees Celsius in almost all districts except Kota, Barmer, Jodhpur, Phalodi, and Pratapgarh. Pali was the coldest district, with a minimum temperature of 4.1 degrees Celsius.
