Bollywood actress Bipasha Basu has been going through a lot since the birth of her daughter Devi. The actress has never before spoken openly about the condition her baby girl was born with. Recently in a conversation with Neha Dhupia, Bipasha Basu revealed that her daughter had two holes in her heart. She had a ventricular septal defect when she was born and had a six-hour heart surgery when she was three months old.
Talking to Neha Dhupia, Bipasha also talked about what happened till exactly 40 days after the birth of Devi. The actress revealed that she could not sleep for the first 40 days after Devi was born. She was all alone for the first 15 days as her husband Karan Singh Grover had gone out for a film shoot. Bipasha also revealed that she did not even allow her family to meet the child.
Bipasha, who became a mother through IVF, told that her family started feeling that her behavior had changed after delivery as she was not allowing anyone to meet her. While the actress was protecting her daughter. He told, 'Initially 40 days and 40 nights, I did not sleep even for a moment. It took me 40 days to process it, accept it, and understand what is happening after giving birth.
Bipasha told, 'Out of those 40 days, Karan was not in the city for 15 days because he had a film, for which he had gone out to shoot. I was alone, I didn't even tell my family. My daughter was not allowed to meet anyone who had a cold and cough and at that time my whole family went viral. I did not allow anyone to meet the goddess. Everyone used to wonder why I have become weird, but I was very protective of my daughter.
