Pakistan has announced its 12-member squad for the Boxing Day Test against Australia from 26 to 30 December. In this, Mohammad Rizwan has been included in place of wicketkeeper-batsman Sarfaraz Ahmed. The final playing eleven will be announced on Tuesday before the match. Fast bowler Khurram Shehzad has been ruled out of the series due to injury. Mir Hamza or Hasan Ali is likely to get a chance in his place. Whereas Faheem Ashraf will also not be able to play in the second test. Sajid Khan can also join it. Noman Ali and Abrar Ahmed are injured.

Pakistan captain Shan Masood was quoted by Cricket.com AU as saying that they want to give rest to Sarfaraz. Shaan said that we think Rizwan is ready and we can give some break to Sarfaraz to recover and come back. In the first test, Australia defeated Shan Masood's team by a margin of 360 runs.
