After winning the toss and batting first, Australia scored 399 runs losing 8 wickets in 50 overs. For Australia, David Warner scored 104 runs in 93 balls with the help of 11 fours and three sixes. Apart from him, Glenn Maxwell destroyed the Netherlands bowlers and scored a century in just 40 balls. This was the fastest century in the history of the World Cup. Maxwell scored 106 runs in 44 balls with the help of 8 sixes and 9 fours.
Apart from these two, former captain, Steve Smith scored 71 runs in 68 balls with the help of one six and 7 fours, and Marnus Labuschagne scored 62 runs in 47 balls with the help of 7 fours and 2 sixes.
