Young man jumped on elderly in the swimming pool, death

In Maharashtra's Mumbai, a 72-year-old man died after a young man jumped on top of an old man in a swimming pool. After this incident, a case has been registered against the youth. The incident took place on Sunday evening at the Ozone swimming pool in the Goregaon area.
Giving information about the accident, a police officer said that the deceased has been identified as Vishnu Samant. He was swimming in the pool when the incident happened when a 20-year-old man jumped into the pool from a height. Samant received injuries on his neck and other parts of his body.
A case has also been registered against the young man for unknowingly killing the old man. On the complaint of the old man's wife, a case has been registered against the youth under IPC section 304-A (death by negligence). The police are currently investigating the matter. The statements of the people present on the spot and the pool staff are being recorded.
According to reports, Samant had gone for a swim with his 14-year-old grandson Neil at the Ozone Pool in Siddharth Nagar. He often used to come here for swimming from 5 to 6 o'clock. Even on the day of the incident, he reached his appointed time and got down in the pool for swimming.
Then the young man jumped from a height in the pool. He fell straight on top of them. Immediately after the incident, Neil called his grandmother and informed her about the incident. Seeing Samant unconscious, the pool staff immediately took him to Kapadia Hospital. Here the doctors declared him dead.
When a person causes the death of a person by negligence or rashness, the section of culpable homicide does not apply in such a case. In such cases, the guilty person gets imprisonment of one year, which may extend to two years, and there is also a provision to impose a fine.
