WhatsApp Working on ‘Incognito Mode’ for Meta AI Chats: Privacy-Focused Feature in Development
WhatsApp is preparing to introduce a new Incognito Mode for its Meta AI chats. This feature will focus on privacy and will not save chat history. Similar to Safari's Private Browsing and Chrome's Incognito Mode, this feature will allow users to ask questions and research sensitive topics. It is currently in development and not accessible even to beta testers.
WhatsApp can add a new Incognito Mode for Meta AI chats in the future. This is according to a feature tracker. This feature was recently seen in beta and is reported to be privacy-oriented to provide confidentiality. This feature, according to information obtained, will be like Safari's Private Browsing and Google Chrome's Incognito Mode. It is being developed but is not available to beta testers.
WhatsApp tracker WABetaInfo found that the instant messaging platform is developing a new Incognito Mode feature for Meta AI. The feature was said to be seen in WhatsApp beta 2.25.28.1 on Android. The feature will enable users to have private conversations with the Meta AI chatbot, where the app will not record a history of their queries to maintain confidentiality.
This feature is expected to roll out in an upcoming update. Currently, data may be recorded for future reference when conversing with the Meta AI chatbot. According to WABetaInfo, once Incognito Mode is turned on, Meta AI will be unable to use the data for training or personalizing the user experience. This will give users more control over their data and maintain privacy.
