Oppo’s ColorOS 16 Debuts with Improved Performance and AI-Powered Photography
Oppo on Wednesday launched its new ColorOS 16, based on Android 16. This new software update will debut first with the Oppo Find X9 series. ColorOS 16 includes a new Flux home screen, a redesigned UI, smoother animations, and several AI-based photo and video features. It will debut with the upcoming Oppo Find X9 series.
On Wednesday, Oppo launched a new ColorOS 16 software update for its mobile phones, based on Android 16. The latest ColorOS version will come to the global markets, including India, with the new Oppo Find X9 series. The update features a new user interface, new icon designs, and a number of new features for system apps. ColorOS 16 introduces a new feature referred to as Flux home screen and enhances Oppo's AI photography features.
Oppo teased the Android 16-based ColorOS 16 user interface in a blog post on Wednesday. The new version will first be rolled out to the soon-to-be-launched Oppo Find X9 series. ColorOS 16 introduces fresh animations, further making user activity such as opening and closing apps, rolling between the app drawer or global search, and multi-widget changing smoother.
The company stated that ColorOS 16 uses the Luminous rendering engine and Trinity engine, which smoothens system performance. The Luminous rendering engine eliminates lag between animations, while the Trinity engine improves the gaming experience.
