Meta Platforms introduces AI assistant to handle account issues in seconds

Meta Platforms announced their move to have launched their Meta AI Support Assistant on Facebook and Instagram last Thursday. The move is a testament to their plan to include tools for support and content enforcement on their apps. The company claims their AI assistant can respond to queries and perform tasks for their users.

In a blog post, Meta stated that it is currently rolling out its AI Support Assistant for Facebook and Instagram worldwide on Android, iOS, and desktop-based Help Centers. It provides 24-hour support for a variety of account-related issues and claims to respond in less than five seconds. As Meta explains, the Meta AI Support Assistant can provide information, answer questions, and perform tasks on users' behalf. These include reporting scams or accounts using someone else's identity, helping users understand why their content was removed and assisting with appealing the removal, managing user privacy, changing passwords, and editing user profiles.

Currently, the tools are available on Facebook, and they will be available on Instagram later. The assistant is built right into their apps, making it simpler for users to get support. The assistant is available in all languages supported by Facebook and Instagram.
