IIT Bombay develops technology to improve the efficiency of robots

The first algorithm, called Task Capability, assesses each robot in the group by determining various parameters.

Which robots are underperforming is determined by the second algorithm, Online Task Capability, which compares parameters with other robots. To establish how many robots are required and which robot should complete which task, a third algorithm known as Online Task Allocator utilizes data from the first two algorithms.

A balanced workflow is ensured by the combination of all three algorithms. Frank Amica Panda and UR5, two well-known robots, served as the team's test subjects for their novel approach. By accelerating tasks and getting rid of redundant and inefficient robots, new algorithms can improve robot performance if put into practice.
