Tata Motors, one of India's largest carmakers, has released its sales report for the month of August. Like every time, this time too, the Indian market has seen tremendous sales of Tata vehicles. According to the sales report released, Tata has achieved a total sales growth of 41 percent on a year-on-year basis in the last month. At the same time, similar figures have been seen in other segments as well.

What does Tata's sales report say?

Tata Motors sold a total of 76,479 units in the month of August this year as compared to 54,190 units during the same period last year. In this way, the company earned a profit of 41 percent in domestic sales of vehicles on a year-on-year basis. On the other hand, if we look at the monthly sales, in July 2022, the company sold a total of 78,978 units, which has shown a decline of 3.17 percent on a monthly basis. In the month of August, the number of commercial vehicles stood at 31,492 units, while the number of passenger vehicles was 47,166 units. In this, 3,845 units of Electric Vehicles (EVs) were sold.
