The second semi-final of the Women's World Cup 2025 was between Australia and India. In this match at the DY Patil Sports Academy in Navi Mumbai, India created history as they defeated Australia by five wickets while chasing a huge total of 339 runs in just 48.3 overs. This is the largest successful run chase in terms of runs in women's ODI history. Pakistani leg-spinner Danish Kaneria is super excited with this victory and is confident that the Indian women's team would win the title.

Kaneria said, "The Indian women's team is in tremendous form in this tournament and is a strong contender for the title. The men's team won the Asia Cup, and now the women's ODI World Cup will be theirs. After that, India will also win the men's T20 World Cup."

Acknowledging Australia's strength, he said, "The Australian women are very strong. They play alongside the boys, and their fitness level is top-notch. They put up a great fight in the semi-finals, but India prevailed. This victory will give the team tremendous confidence for the final."
