Weather News: Heat has set new records in Rajasthan. Ganganagar was the hottest on Thursday, where the temperature reached 48 degrees. It was the hottest day of this season. The Meteorological Department has issued a red alert for the entire state today regarding intense heat and heat wave.
This time, the heat in Rajasthan has broken the records of many years. In the last 24 hours, Sriganganagar was the hottest city in the country, with a maximum temperature of 48 degrees Celsius. This is the highest temperature since 2019, when the mercury reached 49 degrees in June.
Till now, severe heat was being seen only in western Rajasthan, but now eastern Rajasthan has also come under its grip. In the last 24 hours, the temperature in eight cities of the state exceeded 45 degrees, with prominent locations including Vanasthali, Dausa, Churu, Bikaner, Phalodi, Chittorgarh, Kota, and Ganganagar.
Jaipur Meteorological Center has issued a red alert regarding intense heat waves in the Bikaner division on June 12 and 13. A heatwave warning has also been issued in Bharatpur, Alwar, Chittorgarh, and Dholpur of eastern Rajasthan. The maximum temperature in the capital, Jaipur, was recorded at 44.7 degrees, while the mercury crossed 45 degrees in the surrounding cities. The night temperature also reached 32.2 degrees Celsius.
