Rohit Sharma’s Ton in Sydney Helps Him Equal Virat Kohli and Sachin Tendulkar Record

Former Indian team captain Rohit Sharma hit a century in the third and last ODI of the series against Australia in Sydney on Saturday. With the century, Rohit joined Sachin Tendulkar and Virat Kohli and overtook former Australian opener David Warner.

Rohit Sharma accumulated an unbeaten 121 runs from 125 balls, striking 3 sixes and 13 fours. Rohit Sharma's 33rd ODI hundred and his 50th international hundred (in all three formats) came out of this century. Rohit overtook David Warner as the most international centurions. Warner has a total of 49 centuries in all forms. With his 50th international hundred, Rohit Sharma reached the ranks of Sachin Tendulkar and Virat Kohli. Before Rohit, Sachin, and Virat had already scored 50 centuries in international cricket (across all formats).

Sachin holds the record for most centuries in international cricket. Sachin has scored a total of 100 centuries, including 51 in Tests and 49 in ODIs. Virat has scored a total of 82 centuries, placing him second in the list of most centuries. Rohit Sharma is ranked 10th in the list of most international centuries.
