Rinku Singh’s Post for Shah Rukh Khan Sparks Viral ‘Wedding’ Reply from SRK

Shah Rukh Khan, Bollywood actor and co-owner of Kolkata Knight Riders, turned 60 the other day. Amongst wishes that came from Indian cricket team coach Gautam Gambhir and Lucknow Super Giants owner Sanjiv Goenka, King Khan met some of his fans on the special day. But the most talked-about post came from KKR star player Rinku Singh. Rinku wrote in a post about Shah Rukh's ex, "Best ever! Happy birthday SRK sir." To this, Shah Rukh replied, "Thank you, Rinku. Lots of love... and when's the wedding?" His reaction has gone viral on social media.

Rinku Singh was engaged to Samajwadi Party MP Priya Saroj in June 2025 in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. The couple's wedding was originally scheduled for November of this year, but due to Rinku's cricket schedule, it has been postponed to next year. However, the date has not yet been revealed.

In an interview in early August, Rinku Singh revealed how his relationship with Priya Saroj began. He said it began during COVID-19 in 2022, when he was in Mumbai for the IPL. "I had a fan page that posted a photo of Priya discussing voting in her village. Priya's sister shoots photos and videos. So I think she asked the fan page to post a photo for help."

Rinku explained, "When I saw the picture, I loved it and thought he was perfect for me. I thought about messaging him, but then I realized it wouldn't be right." She further added, "He liked some of my photos. Then I messaged him on Instagram, and that's how it all started. Then we started talking. Within a week or two, we were talking regularly every day, even before matches. That's how I started feeling love for 2022."

The couple's engagement in Lucknow was attended by close friends and family. Their much-anticipated wedding, though postponed, is expected to take place next year. Shah Rukh Khan's playful reaction has only increased the excitement.
