The government of India is encouraging the use of E-20 fuel. But the owners of old cars are agitated about it. Owners of old cars many times post their grievances on social media. Now Renault India has also reacted about the usage of E-20 fuel in old cars.

Renault India has come forward to address the usage of E-20 fuel in vintage vehicles. Renault informed that there is no issue using E20 fuel in E10-compliant Renault vehicles.

The car manufacturer has come up with an official statement about the customer fear regarding the application of E20 fuel in vintage E10 vehicles. In which Renault said that to answer the specific question related to E10-compliant cars, a rigorous durability test was jointly conducted by Indian Oil Corporation and ARAI. Several types of fuel were used in this test, including the use of E20 fuel in E10-certified vehicles. After which, the report of the results was shared with all OEMs (as per MoPNG letter number P-13045(18)/19/2017-CC(E-13946)). It has been told in this report that the vehicles currently running on the road are compatible with E20. This shows that there is no bad effect of using E20 fuel in E10-compliant vehicles.

Ankur Thakur, the owner of Renault's Triber car, had raised this question on 25 August and sought a reply from Renault. Which was also posted on social media by the user. The owner of Renault's old car Triber, had said that he has a 2022 model Renault Triber, and Renault has advised not to use E-20 petrol in that car. What should I do now. Because this car is only three years ol,d and it has been driven only 13 thousand kilometers in three years. After which he received an email from Renault Customer Care, which he also posted on social media.
