When the Assistant Agriculture Officer saw the ACB, he ran with money after being detained with a bribe of Rs 3,000

The ACB team on Friday laid an ambush in a shop dealing in fertilizers-seed in the name of Kisan Seva Kendra on the way to the subdivisional office opposite the high school premises at 5:30 pm. The bribe money had to be picked up by the accused Assistant Agriculture Officer (AAO) on a two-wheeler. The bribe money was recovered from the accused's possession, whose hands turned pink while getting washed.

ACB Additional SP Mahendra Meena said that Assistant Agriculture Officer Ali Hasan of Govindgarh has been arrested with a bribe amount of Rs 3000. In this case, the complainant had complained that he had a fertilizer-seed and medicine shop. Recently, he had shifted the shop. A bribe of Rs. 1000 was paid earlier for the verification of seeds. Another bribe of Rs. 3000 was demanded for verification of fertilizers and medicines.

On this, the team arrested the accused Assistant Agriculture Officer from the shop of the complainant during verification of the complaint. The accused had kept the bribe amount in his pocket. As soon as he saw the ACB team, the accused threw the bribe amount and started running away, but the team immediately caught him on the spot.
