Rajasthan Shivers as Cold Wave Persists, Temperatures Dip Below Normal
Rajasthan Weather: Severe cold continues in Rajasthan. The Jaipur Meteorological Center has issued a cold wave alert in 5 districts and a dense fog alert in 9. Mount Abu recorded a temperature of zero degrees Celsius for the second consecutive day.
The effect of a cold environment keeps on escalating in Rajasthan. On Sunday, a warning for a cold wave was sounded in 5 districts, while a warning for dense fog was sounded in 9 districts. On Saturday, minimum temperatures below 10 degrees Celsius were recorded in all cities in the state except three. The temperature in Mount Abu continued at zero degrees Celsius for the second day in a row. However, the effect of cold winds further escalated the cold and fog in the districts of Shekhawati, as well as Jaipur division. The Meteorological Center in Jaipur states that severe cold, cold waves, and fog would continue in the state for the upcoming week.
In the last 24 hours, dense fog conditions were observed in some areas of the northeastern and northeastern districts of Jaipur, Bharatpur, Bikaner, Kota, and Ajmer. A cold wave accompanied the fog, making it extremely cold even during the day. Fatehpur (Sikar) was the second coldest place in the state after Mount Abu, with the minimum temperature dropping to 2.3 degrees Celsius. Frost has begun to form in rural areas of Fatehpur, Sikar, and Alwar, raising concerns among farmers.
