Gangapur City: Criminals in the district are so fearless that they are not afraid even in the police station. A criminal named Kadu Pehlwan, who has served a sentence in a murder case, slapped a constable in the police station.

Kadu Pehlwan, who is an accused in a murder case, arrived at the Kotwali police station on Sunday morning in relation to a dispute over land and assaulted the sentry. He slapped him after catching hold of his collar. He tore off the name plate, as well. The policemen, having lost their temper in response, apprehended Pehlwan as well as his friend Dilip Gurjar.

As soon as the news came, Deputy Superintendent of Police Santram Meena, Additional Superintendent of Police Rakesh Rajoura, in addition to the in-charge of Sadar police station as well as the in-charge of police station Udei Mod, also arrived on the spot. Afterwards, on the complaint of the sentry, assault, indecency as well as hindrance in government work were registered.

Additional Superintendent of Police Rakesh Kumar Rajoura said that there is a dispute between two parties regarding the land of the Scheduled Caste in Chhaharra village of Kotwali police station area. A quarrel broke out over the issue of erecting pillars on the land a day before. In this case, Kadu Pehlwan had brought a case against history-sheeter Krishna Bansrota. There were other people with him.

When the sentry posted at the gate asked the reason for his visit, he started shouting loudly and behaved rudely with the policemen. When he was asked to talk calmly and tell the police station in charge, he caught the sentry by the collar and slapped him. Later, the policemen arrested him and his companion, Dilip Gurjar.
