Nagaur police took a firm stand against illegal mining by conducting swift operations at two locations in the district. During these raids, they seized vehicles and machinery valued at around ₹10 crore and arrested three individuals. Following instructions from District SP Mridul Kachhwaha, Thanwala and Panchaudi police carried out these actions, causing concern among the illegal mining gangs.

Thanwala police acted on an informant’s tip that illegal gravel mining was happening in the Luni River area near village Kot and behind Alaniyawas GSS. They raided the site, where illegal gravel extraction was ongoing with JCB machines, seizing five dumpers (including two six-wheel and one twelve-wheel filled with gravel), three tractors, five gravel-laden trolleys, an empty tractor-trolley, and a Formtech mini-loader. The vehicles are estimated to be worth about ₹2.50 crore.

At the scene, police arrested Sarwan Singh (son of Bhagwan Singh from Kod), Jalal Khan (son of Bhola Khan from Pakharia Vas, Beawar), and Shivraj (son of Nandram from Tyod, Rupangarh). A case has been registered, prompting an investigation.
