The monsoon has returned to the southern parts of Rajasthan. The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow rain alert for Chittorgarh, Rajsamand, Sirohi, Udaipur, Pratapgarh, Dungarpur, and Banswara districts on Sunday and Monday. The department has warned of moderate to heavy rain in these areas. Over the past 24 hours, dense clouds moved into Chittorgarh, Pratapgarh, and Udaipur on Saturday afternoon, bringing light to moderate rain in many locations. Meanwhile, the weather stayed clear and sunny in western Rajasthan districts. Partly cloudy skies and light drizzle were observed in parts of Jaipur and Bharatpur divisions. The Meteorological Department expects rain to continue for the next four days.

In the last 24 hours, Badi Sadri in Chittorgarh recorded the highest rainfall at 74 mm. Other notable rainfall figures include 60 mm in Nimbahera, 19 mm in Sagwara of Dungarpur, 17 mm in Chhoti Sadri of Pratapgarh, 45 mm in Vallabhnagar of Udaipur, and 26 mm in Kheerwada. According to the Meteorological Department, the weather across the state may turn dry starting September 24, which could signal the end of the rain activity.

Regarding maximum temperatures, Pilani recorded the highest at 37.5°C. Other notable temperatures included 35.5°C in Sikar, 34.7°C in Ajmer, 31.2°C in Bhilwara, 35.5°C in Alwar, 33.9°C in Jaipur, 30.3°C in Kota, 32.3°C in Chittorgarh, 36.4°C in Barmer, 37.2°C in Jaisalmer, 34.9°C in Jodhpur, 39.1°C in Churu, 32.1°C in Pali, and 34.1°C in Jalore.
