Portronics has introduced the Pico 14, its latest mini smart projector, in India. While the earlier Pico 13 supported 4K resolution, the new projector has only a 720p display and has a maximum screen size of 100 inches. Similar to the older model, it employs Digital Light Processing (DLP) technology used in low-cost to mid-range projectors.

The projector is aimed at students, professionals, and entertainment lovers looking for a portable projector. It has the Android 13 OS and includes popular OTT apps, so there is no need for an external streaming device. It weighs a mere 250 grams and includes a tripod and remote.

The Portronics Pico 14 is priced at ₹28,349 and is available on Portronics.com, Amazon.in, Flipkart, and other major online and offline stores. It comes with a 12-month warranty.

As mentioned earlier, the Pico 14 offers a maximum 100-inch screen size, 720p resolution, 1600 lumens brightness, and a 30,000-hour lamp life. By comparison, the Pico 13 had 3500 lumens of brightness and 4K resolution. The new model can accept 4K input from modern media sources, but only projects HD output.

It has a 3W built-in speaker, which is again lower than the 10W speaker on the Pico 13. Connectivity options include AUX support and Bluetooth 5.4 for external pairing.

The projector runs on Android 13 and comes preloaded with apps like Netflix, Prime Video, Jio Hotstar, and YouTube. Other features include autofocus, remote focus control, auto vertical and manual horizontal keystone correction, auto source detection, auto screen rotation, and optical zoom.

In terms of design, the Portronics projector measures 73 × 73 × 60 mm, weighs 250 grams, and has a rounded-square build with a quiet cooling system that operates at less than 25 dB. A tripod and remote are also included in the box. It packs a 4800 mAh rechargeable battery that delivers up to 60 minutes of wireless playback.

Connectivity options include HDMI, USB-A, USB-C, and dual-band Wi-Fi. The Pico 14 promises a simple setup, with autofocus and keystone correction, making it a perfect choice for small rooms and impromptu gatherings.
